Why Choose Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center?
Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2018. As one of the original Gamma Knife radiosurgery centers in the region and the oldest in Colorado, the physicians and staff at Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center offer a level of experience and expertise found only in the most advanced facilities in the country. Since opening in 1993, we have treated more than 5,300 patients for malignant and benign tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, acoustic neuroma, and nearly 30 other complex neurological conditions and disorders of the brain.
Over the past 15 years, our team of highly skilled Gamma Knife-certified neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists has averaged over 200 Gamma Knife procedures a year at our center, putting Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center in the top 5 percent nationwide. Most other centers perform fewer than 120 Gamma Knife surgeries per year.
Since its introduction in 1967, Gamma Knife technology has continually evolved, improving in both accuracy and effectiveness. Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center has been at the forefront of implementing next-generation radiosurgery technology, and now uses the most advanced Gamma Knife technology called the Perfexion. This technology is considered the current gold standard for Gamma Knife technology.
In addition to our physicians, the team at Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center includes highly experienced nurses. From preoperative education to day-of-surgery care to follow-up, they serve as a personal point of contact for each patient before, during, and after the procedure. In addition, our staff will help handle preauthorizations and help patients with other insurance and billing concerns.
Located on the Anschutz Medical Campus close to Denver International Airport, just off I-225 and Colfax Avenue in Aurora, Rocky Mountain Gamma Knife Center and its unparalleled medical team look forward to continuing to advance research and the development of innovative treatments for brain disorders.
