Usually benign and tend to grow slowly
Frequently grow large before causing symptoms
More common in women ages 30-50
Deep or critically situated lesions near brain stem, major vessels and/or cranial nerves, very small lesion or patients who are medically unstable Gamma Knife may be their best option
